The research that your dollars is supporting through Pitch and Putt for a Cure is receiving national recognition.
The project was selected to a platform oral presentation at the 2012 American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology meeting, where only 20 talks were selected nationally, according to Dr. Patrick Zweidler-Mckay at MD Anderson Hospital.
The American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology meeting is the only national academic forum for Pediatric Oncologists and this selection suggests that this is one of the most interesting projects to be presented. This is further supported by the fact that only 4 merit award recipients are named each year, and the pediatric oncology fellow, Dr. Maurizio Ghisoli, leading this project was selected for this honor as well.
Congratulations to all the donors who support Pitch and Putt for a Cure for the work would not happen without you!!!
